Physicist in the Energy Sciences Division of the Army Research Laboratory. Expert in radioisotope power sources, and the study of advanced energetics utilizing nuclear materials.
Dr. Marc S. Litz received his Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from the Catholic University of America. He is a physicist in the Energy Sciences Division of the Army Research Laboratory.
He has investigated instabilities in high power microwave plasma sources, material response to Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) radiation sources, as well as developed specific RF related joint time frequency analysis techniques.
Over the last 10 years, he has focused on radioisotope power sources, degradation and damage in phosphors and semiconductors stimulated by alpha and beta emitters and the study of advanced energetics utilizing nuclear materials.
He has over 44 publications in these research areas and in the last 10 years has focused on energy conversion processes in materials and radiation interactions in wide bandgap semiconductors.
